Argentina President Javier Melei Continues Role as US Foreign Policy Booster

Argentina President Javier Milei came into office as a big booster of Israel and Ukraine wars reliant on aid from the United States government for continuation. In response to President Nicolás Maduro this weekend winning reelection in Venezuela — a long-term US target for “regime change” — Milei is speaking in unison with the US government as well.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, quickly after the Venezuela election, declared the US has “serious concerns that the result announced does not reflect the will or the votes of Venezuelan people.” Continuing with a threat, Blinken stated, “The international community is watching this very closely and will respond accordingly.”

That “international community” includes the US and select other governments. It encompasses far short of an overwhelming majority of nations of the world. But, it does include Milei who may have greater than usual influence in this matter because his country, like Venezuela, is in South America.

As loyal as Robin to Batman, US sidekick Milei, immediately condemned the Venezuela election results and called for a military overthrow in the fellow South America country. Announced Milei, “Argentina will not recognize another fraud, and expects the Armed Forces this time to defend democracy and the will of the people.”
